Golf

With a reputation as a formidable test, The Cardinal offers some of the most rewarding play in Greensboro.

Its modern, 140-acre layout designed by Pete Dye is a par-70 that meanders along a countryside stream, over two lakes, through wooded glades. Several holes feature Dye’s signature railroad ties including No. 12, as he called it after the restoration, “The hardest par three I ever designed.”

Originally known as Cardinal Golf and Country Club, the course was restored to its original layout and lengthened after it was acquired by McConnell Golf in 2006. In February 2019, McConnell Golf announced the club’s transition to semi-private.
